On-shore production – Intelligent Wellhead

The trend towards an intelligent wellhead requires a more sophisticated control solution. The GE Intelligent Platforms solution delivers a single unit controller or a distributed control solution, to combine multiple wells, suitable for the harsh environment at the remote location. Operating temperature range of –40C to +70C combined with the G3 corrosion specification reduces the cost for conditioned cabinets.

The possibility to directly mount in DIV 2/Zone 2 hazardous environment and wire up Intrinsically Safe sensors and actuators placed in DIV 1/Zone 1 without additional barriers further simplify installation and maintenance. We have redefined and improved procedures for live maintenance, with the ability to ‘hot swap’ I/O modules in DIV 2 / Zone 2 areas.

If required additional redundancy can be achieved for high availability with the optional redundant power supplies and controllers. For functional safety you can add the PAC8000 Safetynet controller, a SIL-2 TÜV certified safety controller

The efficient power consumption allows the controllers to operate in a solar environment.
