MP-2000 is a high-speed, scalable platform that delivers the performance and flexibility needed for cost-sensitive network-centric and MicroTCA development applications in a variety of markets including Telecom, Commercial, and non-rugged Military markets. Based on MicroTCA and incorporating the best-of-class system components from GE Intelligent Platforms and its ecosystem partners, these modular pre-validated systems deliver true GE quality and reliability.
Pre-validation shortens customer development time by minimizing costly MicroTCA integration and reducing interoperability testing to a minimum. This application-ready platform has been tested, including the AdvancedMCs, for mechanical and thermal stability. Plus, field proven IPMI code is provided to ensure interoperability and provide a level of platform management including an easy-to-use graphical user interface. Complete platform management is ensured by a Carrier Manager and a Shelf Manager implemented in the MCH.
The small form factor MicroTCA MP-2000 platform includes: 2U chassis with 13-slot MicroTCA backplane and power subsystem, dual cooling units, a MicroTCA Carrier Hub with PCI Express fabric module, Telum ALSP10 Processor AdvancedMC, two Telum 200-SATA storage AdvancedMCs, Telum 2001-VGA graphics AdvancedMC, Telum GE-QT four-port Gigabit Ethernet AdvancedMC, and pre-installed Linux operating system with LSP.
