ASF-PC104 fulfills the requirement for a low cost, rugged MIL-STD-1553 interface. It provides two channels in a flexible, single function, dual redundant MIL-STD-1553 interface to the PC104 backplane, interface to the PC/104 backplane, allowing independent operation as a Bus Controller (BC), 31 Remote Terminals (RT), or dual function Bus Monitor (BM).
