Available in air- and conduction-cooled build levels for rugged computing, the IMP2B is fully supported by comprehensive Deployed Test Software (BIT and BCS) and support for popular real time operating systems including VxWorks.

Designed for demanding applications with restrictive dimensional requirements, the IMP2B packs a powerful CompactPCI single board computer (SBC) into an extremely space-efficient 3U form factor.

The IMP2B’s impressive processing core is based around a Freescale 7448 Power Architecture processor and the very latest Marvell Discovery V Integrated System Controller which combines high bandwidth memory control and PCI bridging with an array of communication peripherals, including USB 2.0, serial and Ethernet ports, all on a single chip.

A range of I/O options is offered including either one 10/100/1000BaseT or two 10/100BaseT ports (software selectable), up to 4 bits of discrete digital I/O, and up to two serial channels, software programmable as RS232/422.

The IMP2B can be factory configured as either a system slot SBC supporting 48 pins of PMC I/O to J2, or a peripheral slot SBC supporting 64 pins of PMC I/O to J2.

CPCI3UX605-11 - Module is a customized interface adapter compatible with 3U CompactPCI backplanes. It fits directly onto the rear P2 position of the backplane and is only suitable for interconnection with the IMP2B host card.

IMP-IOKIT2B - I/O kit to support the IMP2B. Comprises of the following components:

  • 1x Paddle card supporting all IMP2B I/O. (CPCI3UX605-11)
  • 2x 3U Serial I/O Panels with 1x 25 Way D type connector and 0.5m internal ribbon cable. Complies with RS530 pin out and signal set. Used with COM 1,2 ports. (SIO3X600-S)
  • 1x 3U Serial I/O Panel with 2x 9 Way D type connectors and 0.5 internal ribbon cable. For use with COM 1 port. (SIOX600-S)
  • 1x 2 way shielded 3U 10/100/1000BaseT Panel supplied with two 0.5m CAT5e shielded cables for use with all 10/100BaseT and 10/100/1000BaseT capable product (10BT2X600-STP)
  • 1x 3U panel for 4 USB ports (USBX607-11)
